 Today was the first day of school. Alex started kindergarten and Zach began 2nd grade. Everyone seemed to survive just fine.

| Today is Jake's 2nd birthday. I can't believe how fast the time has gone.

| Well, it wasn't exactly wilderness, but Dick, Rick, Zach, and Alex spent Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning camping at Lake Manawa state park in Council Bluffs.

| Rick and I have been very busy since January. We purchased Pexton Drug Store this year and have been busy learning the ins and outs of running our own business.

 Jake has gotten so big so fast. He will be 2 in three weeks. Where has the time gone. His favorite thing right now is anything "Blues Clues". Anything his brothers do he has to also do. Which includes going to the pool and jump in repeatedly, playing in the back yard onthe playset, trying to ride a trike and now he has started to play on the computer too. He is becoming quite vocal now but i just wish I could understand him a little better but that will come soon.

 Alex played T-ball for the first time this year. He did great considering he had never played on a team before. This summer he also took swimming lessons and learned how to back float and he over came his fear of deep water. He actually jumped in off the diving board. We have signed him up to play soccer for the first time this fall. We will let you know his schedule as soon as we get it. Alex is now getting ready to go to school, he starts kindergarten in just 3 weeks.

 Here is what Zach has been up to lately. He has finished 1st grade in which he lerned to read, tell time and all about money. Zach loves to read especially anything that has to do with Pokemon. He took golf lessons this summer along with swimming lessons and playing t-ball. He has also become quite good at roller blading. Right now Zach's favorite activity is playing his game boy or the computer. He now knows about as much about the computer as me. Pretty soon I will be in trouble.
